Color Blocking

Hello again! Hope y'all had a lovely Easter celebration.
With Easter coming early this year, we had quite the crazy month over here.

To me, Easter time is somewhat like New Years, in the way that it feels so much like a new beginning. Celebrating Christ's resurrection this time of year is perfect in itself...right when all the flowers are peeking their heads out, and everything is waking up after a long winter.

Let me pause and say that I love every season so much. When spring comes I say, "This HAS to be my favorite season." ...and then the next season comes, and I say the same thing. Haha. God definitely made a good thing when he made the different seasons. Right when I get bored with one, the next one's on its way.

Spring is definitely the prettiest season we have here in Porterville; the hills are in full bloom with wildflowers everywhere! This cake is copying nature's color block this time of year with all the wild mustard that is literally everywhere, and the white puffy clouds that make me want to go on a picnic every day.

*sigh* Spring is pretty perfect, isn't is?

Why are you sitting here reading this blog?
Go outside and soak up all this lovely weather!
